First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov on January 5 (Thursday) received USAID Mission Director Michaela Meredith to reflect on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of programs in priority areas.
In her remark, USAID Mission director Michaela Meredith confirmed the agency’s firm commitment to assist the republic in implementing the tasks outlined in the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy for 2022-2026.
Besides, the two sides emphasized the positive results of the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of public administration, the economic sphere, and other sectors.
USAID has been partnering with Uzbekistan since 1993, soon after the Central Asian republic gained its independence from the Soviet Union.
