A total number of 2,155 children (1099 boys and 1056 girls) were born in Uzbekistan on the first day of 2023 (January 1), the press service of the Central Asian country’s Health Ministry has reported.
This is less than January 1, 2022 (2316), but more than in previous years.
Most newborns on January 1 were registered in the Ferghana (252), Kashkadarya (230), Namangan (219), Surkhandarya (213), and Samarkand (213) regions.
