The delegation of the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has arrived in Singapore to study a new approach in the field of education.
As part of the trip, it is envisaged to reach agreements on the application of Singapore’s experience in the processes of improving the quality of education, analyzing the methods of teaching Science and STEM subjects in schools, conducting training of educational management personnel, and developing proposals for the improvement of the training programs in Uzbekistan.
On the first day of the visit, the members of the delegation visited Singapore’s Ministry of Education accompanied by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Singapore Kakhramon Shakirov. The representatives were welcomed by a group of specialists chaired by Dr. Lian Hui, adviser to the minister on international cooperation. Singapore’s delegation presented their education system. in his turn, Asliddin Odilov, Head of the General Directorate for Certification and State Accreditation of Educational Institutions made a presentation on Uzbekistan’s education sector.
The members of the Uzbek delegation also paid a visit to the Singapore State Examinations and Assessment Board. Singapore's delegation introduced On Screen Marking (OSM), a method of marking a candidate's response that has been produced on paper and presented to an examiner for marking on-screen using a PC/Laptop.
