A solar panel set of 52 kW capacity was put into operation at the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
“The aim of the project is to generate the electricity necessary for thermal power plants based on alternative energy sources.
The importance of these projects is especially important in the autumn-winter season when consumption is high,” the ministry message says.
According to preliminary estimates, an average of 94,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity is produced annually through the solar panels installed at the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant.
As a result, 30,000 cubic meters of natural gas will be saved per year.
