Abdurauf Rasulov, head of the information service of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation, provided information about the work done on the implementation of international quality management systems within the framework of GSP+, at the briefing.
241 Uzbek companies exported local products to 31 European countries and 128 manufacturers’ documents were submitted to the Export Promotion Agency to rebate expenses incurred on the introduction of international standards.
A list of 300 firms to implement 1,500 standards used in European countries has been formed, and targeted work has been launched.
The concrete plans and practical proposals developed to increase export volumes will involve international experts from Germany, Turkey, England, Latvia, Spain, Russia, and Belarus in the training of 3,085 specialists in the companies producing products under the GSP+, including 400 laboratory workers in 2023.
