The Spanish ceramic manufacturer AZTECA Cerámica has expressed interest in relocating its production to Uzbekistan, Dunyo reports. The agency notes that the Uzbek side sees the industry's potential in the republic.
In his address to the Uzbek side, Francisco Carvajal, Director-General of the Spanish manufacturer, noted the difficult economic situation in the world caused by a repeated increase in energy prices, as well as kaolin supply challenges urging Spanish manufacturers to transfer their production facilities to countries where raw materials and energy prices seem affordable. Thus, his company focused on the feasibility of relocating production to Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek and Spanish sides have reached preliminary agreements on the joint implementation of investment projects.
