The vice president of Airbus company Wooter Van Wersch spoke about the conditions of investment in Uzbekistan at the Uzbek-French business forum held in Paris, on November 18-19.
"Our elite planes are flying in the sky of Uzbekistan. Our cooperation started in 1996. Today, our projects are being successfully implemented. So, we intend to further expand our business.
I was in Uzbekistan in April and discussed new projects. It is important for us not only to sell aircraft but also to help train personnel. I also visited the Transport Institute and talked about exchange programs.
In general, there are many talents in Uzbekistan. I am glad to participate in today's business forum. Your president will visit France in a few days. We are looking forward to this visit. It will be beneficial for both sides," Wersch said.
Corinne Sandberg, head of the project of the French electricity company EDF, also expressed his opinion.
"I am from EDF, the leader in the French energy market. We have been working in the Uzbek market for many years.
We have implemented several projects in recent years. Now we are building a station with a capacity of 163 megawatts. We won the project in the tender last year, construction work will start soon and we will put it into operation in 2025," Corin Sandberg said.
