The Russian Federation supplies most of the paper and paperboard to Uzbekistan, the Central Asian republic's State Statistics Committee has reported. The agency notes that in 9 months (3Q), Russia sold Uzbekistan 106,700 tons of paper goods, while the People's Republic of China ranks second in terms of paper supply and Belarus closes the top three:
Russia – 106,700 tons;
China – 38,700 tons;
Belarus – 9,800 tons;
Finland – 9,200 tons;
Germany – 5,200 tons;
Ukraine – 3,200 tons;
Sweden – 3,000 tons;
Turkey – 2,400 tons;
Poland – 1,300 tons.
In three quarters (3Q) of 2022, 189,200 tons of paper goods worth $281.5mn were imported into Uzbekistan from foreign countries. The volume of paper imports to the republic increased by 22,600 tons compared to last year.
