A Russia-based chain of discount variety stores transferred all its stores in Uzbekistan to franchise owners. "Daryo" found out from the company's financial report.
At the end of September, not a single store operated by Fix Price remained in Uzbekistan.
In June, it had 10 sales points, and in September 2021, this figure was 42.
Currently, the list of stores operating on a franchise basis has reached 19 whereas this figure was 6 times less this summer.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has closed a total of 32 stores. In addition, Fix Price did not open a single new store in Uzbekistan in 2022.
Fix Price branches in Latvia, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan are also currently managed by franchisees.
