Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agreed to expand trade cooperation, and some decisions on the export and transit of Kazakhstani goods were made during the recent negotiations, ‘ElDala.kz’ has informed. In addition, the media states that a favorable decision was made on the issue of shortening the terms of issuing permits for the transit of fodder crops, fodder, and eggs in Kazakhstan.
The parties also agreed on the export of Kazakhstan-grown potatoes through specialized companies of the Uzbek side. As a result, Kazakhstan announced its readiness to export up to 500,000 tons of potatoes. Besides, it is planned to simplify the delivery of Kazakhstan-grown apples to Uzbekistan.
Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan had become the leading supplier of potatoes to Uzbekistan.
