The President of Turkmenistan received Shavkat Mirziyoyev at his residence after an official welcoming ceremony.
According to the press service of the President, the heads of state discussed issues of further strengthening bilateral relations based on the centuries-old friendship between the two brotherly nations.
Issues of further expansion of cooperation in the political, trade-economic, energy, transport-logistics, agriculture and water management sectors became the main topic of the negotiations.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that this meeting will give a new impetus to the development of a multifaceted strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Detailed views were exchanged on the international and regional agenda, including the issues of deepening cooperation in Central Asia.
