On October 19, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Documents of Uzbekistan".
According to the document, responsibility for committing fraud using the IT system, including information technologies, has been strengthened by imposing a fine of up to 120 million soums or 3 years of imprisonment.
Liability for disrespectful treatment of objects of material cultural heritage was included in the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
At the thirty-second plenary session of the Senate, it was noted that recently, using electronic payment means or remote service systems, many crimes of robbery, fraud, and theft have been committed. During the 7 months of 2022, a total of 1,812 criminal cases were initiated in connection with the fraud and theft of money from bank plastic cards.
