According to Uzhydromet, cold and wet air masses are set to enter all regions of Uzbekistan on October 17. It said that as a result of the long-term absence of precipitation and the inversion of air temperature, the air pollution of the city of Tashkent with small dust particles is expected to increase.
In this regard, Uzhydromet gave the following advice to residents and visitors of Tashkent city.
- not to go outside unless necessary;
- when in the street, it is necessary to wear a medical mask and change it every hour;
- mmediately contact an allergist if you experience shortness of breath, runny nose, wheezing, flu, red and itchy eyes, severe itching in the throat, and cough.
It is also recommended to rinse the nose and throat with a saline solution, keep the windows closed, and spread wet towels in front of the windows.
Meanwhile, according to the US Air Quality Index rating, Tashkent was the most polluted city in the world as of October 17 at 4:12 PM.
