The agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the simplification of visa procedures for representatives of business and scientific circles and tourist groups became valid from October 13.

According to Uzbekistan's MFA, the present document consists of 11 articles, validity of this agreement serves for strengthening and developing the friendly relationship, trade-economic tourism, science and scientific communications between the two countries.

Earlier, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi, in an interview with the correspondent of UzA, touched on the issue of introducing a visa-free regime between the two countries.
