The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage participated in the signing of a memorandum on cooperation in the field of museum work between the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Taking into account the historical ties between the cultures of the SCO member states, museums are seen as the most important institutions for the formation of historical memory, tolerance and intercultural communication skills. Therefore, a general interest in preserving the best traditions in the field of museum work was declared.
According to the memorandum, cooperation will be established by the member states in the training, retraining and upgrading of the museum staff, including specialists in the field of funding, exposition and exhibition activities, excursions, and cultural and educational activities. In addition, the states will organize exchange programs for the restoration and conservation of museums and museum objects, inter-museum practices and master classes.
