The press service of the Ministry of Innovative Development reports that the Center for Innovative Vaccines, the only one in Central Asia, will be established in Uzbekistan.
On September 13, the Minister of Innovative Development Ibrahim Abdurahmanov and the head of Luye Investment Group Co., Ltd. held an online meeting within the framework of the upcoming summit in Samarkand. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation that paves the way for the establishment of the 100 million dollars Center for Innovative Vaccines in 2023-2028.
The Center will be the only full-cycle biotechnological development unit in Central Asia, which allows supplying the local and CIS markets with high-tech products. It is also planned to produce 200 million doses of 10 different vaccines for the treatment of viruses of hepatitis A, hepatitis B, papilloma, measles, tetanus and other diseases, the total amount of which is equal to 2 billion dollars.
Taking into account the scientific volume of this full-cycle biotechnological production enterprise and the future involvement of highly qualified scientific experts, it is proposed to establish the Center of Innovative Vaccines in the Tashkent region.
