During the two-day state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Saudi Arabia, the relevant bodies discussed the proposal to establish a new centre in cooperation with King Abdulaziz University in Uzbekistan.
It is expected to meet and talk thoroughly with the University’s representatives in Tashkent at the InnoWeek-2022, the week of innovative ideas, in October.
King Abdulaziz University was established as a private university in Jeddah in 1967 by the Red Sea development company. Later, in 1974, it was transformed into a public educational institution. In 2021, Times Higher Education took first place among Arab universities in the ranking of world universities. The university is oriented toward secular education. There are engineering, economics and management, law, medicine and other faculties.
According to the conclusion of the World University Rankings organization, Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz University came close to Jerusalem University, which is the leader in this ranking in the Middle East and North Africa region, and rose to second place in the region.
