Uzbek Ambassador to the USA, Javlon Vahobov met with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, "Dunyo" news agency reports.
The parties paid special attention to deepening cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade-economic, and investment spheres, as well as within the framework of regional cooperation.
The American diplomat highly appreciated the foreign political activity of Shavkat Mirziyoyev underpinning the full support of the United States initiatives to expand economic interdependence, strengthen food security, and restore the economy of Central Asian countries.
The States are also keen on continuing the cooperation within the framework of the C5+1 format in order to achieve concrete results in the fields of infrastructure, energy, transport, environmental protection and combating climate change.
