August 19. Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Latvia, Kaspars Gerhards, co-chairman of the Uzbekistan-Latvia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial and Scientific-Technical Cooperation.
The Ministers talked about the Uzbekistan-Latvia cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian, agricultural and other fields.
Gerhards noted that the Latvian side supports large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan and urged intensifying the joint investment projects involving the leading companies of Latvia, increasing the export of agricultural products of Uzbekistan to the Latvian market, strengthening economic diplomacy by strengthening direct relations between the country's business circles.
