By the end of 2021, Uzbekistan output a total of 5.1 million tons of coal, which is the highest production indicator in the last 5 years, the State Statistics Committee reports.
- 4.0 million tons in 2017, the growth rate is 104.4 percent;
- 4.2 million tons in 2018, the growth rate is 103.4 percent;
- 4.1 million tons in 2019, the growth rate is 97.1 percent;
- 4.1 million tons in 2020, the growth rate is 101.9 percent;
- 5.1 million tons in 2021, the growth rate is 122.4 percent.
In January-June 2022, the republic’s main coal producers’ coal output hit 2.5 million tons. This is 200,000 tons more than the same period last year. Coal production in seven months of this year exceeded the record level of 2021.
