On August 13, the Khatlon region, Tajikistan and Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan signed 6 contracts for the supply of goods and products with a total value of 26.6 million dollars in the city of Nurek, Tajikistan. This was reported by Asia-Plus with reference to Khatlon regional government.
The business owners of the regions, as well as mayors of Khatlon Kurban Hakimzada and Surkhandarya Tora Bobolov discussed the investment opportunities and export potential of the two countries during the meeting.
According to the results of the forum, the two regions signed a "Roadmap", a memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism, and 15 investment agreements. A total of 23 cooperation agreements were signed.
