Man protests against Kashkadarya tannery’s stench by self-immolation
In the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region, a man dissatisfied with the odour of the local leather tannery poured petrol and set himself on fire.
The Prosecutor General's Office reacted to this situation.
"In reference to the incident in Karshi, the Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation on a self-immolation," Hayat Shamsutdinov, head of the information service of the General Prosecutor's Office informs.
Residents gathered in front of the factory say that the stench emanating from the factory is absolutely intolerable.
The victim who set himself on fire said that a man named Akmal was killing him and his family.
"I don't want to live because of you, Akmal," says the man who set himself on fire.
