On July 12, 2022, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov had a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

The top officials stressed the need for further intensifying mutually beneficial political dialogue and economic diplomacy that has been stated in the agreements reached in the high-level meetings.

An agreement was reached to continue cooperation within the UN, CIS, SCO and other international institutions.

In particular, the ministers discussed the upcoming meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states to be held in Tashkent on July 28-29, 2022.
