The import of precious stones used for jewellery production into Uzbekistan will be exempt from value-added tax (VAT) for three years, following the signing of amendments to the country's regulatory and legal framework by the Uzbek leader.
Starting from January 1 this year, until January 1, 2027, the import of precious stones intended for the production of jewellery into Uzbekistan will be exempt from value-added tax (VAT). This exemption aims to stimulate the jewellery industry and promote its development within the country.
Additionally, profits derived from providing services related to rest houses and recreation areas organized outside the holiday season for children, based on children's health camps in the trade union system, will be exempt from income tax until January 1, 2026.
Moreover, according to an amendment to the Law on Tourism, holiday homes and recreation areas established during the off-season, based on children's health camps in the trade union system, will be exempt from mandatory certification as accommodation facilities. This exemption aims to simplify the regulatory process for such facilities, facilitating their establishment and operation.
