Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation from Eiffage, a French construction company on October 10, to discuss the ongoing water supply project in Uzbekistan. The delegation was led by Nicolas Sureau, Director of Development and Institutional Relations at Eiffage.
The discussions focused on the progress of the project aimed at ensuring uninterrupted water supply to regions across Uzbekistan. Both parties reviewed the practical aspects of pre-design studies and agreed on the need to expedite the construction phase. They developed mutually acceptable solutions to existing challenges and outlined a framework for future cooperation to advance the project.
Eiffage, a major player in the global construction industry, was formed in 1992 through the merger of two companies, Fougerolle and SAE. Headquartered in Vélizy-Villacoublay, France, it is one of the leading construction companies in the country, specializing in road construction, power plants, civil engineering, and urban development.
Operating in 50 countries, Eiffage boasts assets of €37.8 billion and employs over 76,000 people globally.
The collaboration with Uzbekistan stresses Eiffage’s commitment to expanding its presence in Central Asia and supporting the country's infrastructure development initiatives.
