To boost economic ties and enhance e-commerce, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Russia’s RVB, which operates Wildberries and Russ, during the Intergovernmental Commission. The event was co-chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda.
The Memorandum was signed by Tatyana Kim, founder of Wildberries and head of RVB, and Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan. Both parties agreed to intensify efforts to support entrepreneurship in Tajikistan, with a particular focus on developing the country’s e-commerce sector.
Wildberries, known for its vast ecosystem of partnerships with local manufacturers and service providers, emphasized the importance of fostering collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Tajikistan. Special emphasis will also be placed on promoting women’s entrepreneurship in the country.
“The signing of this Memorandum is a crucial step in strengthening our relationship with Tajikistan. We believe our platform and expertise can help local entrepreneurs grow and access broader markets,” said Tatyana Kim. “Through our presence in Russia and other markets, we have shown that partnering with Wildberries opens up access to markets within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and beyond.”
Jamshed Jumakhonzoda emphasized the Chamber's dedication to advancing e-commerce in Tajikistan, noting that the newly established Council for the Development of E-Commerce and the partnership with Wildberries will play a key role in driving sector growth.
This agreement is expected to boost Tajikistan's SME sector by enabling access to international markets and promoting entrepreneurial growth, particularly among women-led businesses.
