Fly Khiva, the Uzbekistan-based start-up cargo carrier, has achieved a milestone by obtaining ACC3/RA3 status, allowing it to operate cargo flights from Tashkent to the European Union.
This accreditation enables Fly Khiva to transport cargo and mail from its base at Tashkent International Airport (TAS) to various destinations across Europe. The achievement follows the airline's recent validation as a Third Country Operator (TCO) by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Commencing operations in August, Fly Khiva plans to service routes including Riga, Liege, Warsaw, and Paris. The airline currently operates a Boeing 767-300F and anticipates adding a second aircraft of the same type soon, following the initiation of revenue flights in late June.
Since 2014, the European Commission has required all non-EU airlines transporting cargo or mail to the EU to hold ACC3 status. This ensures that cargo undergoes stringent physical inspection or is routed through a secure supply chain, meeting EU aviation security standards. Organizations involved in the handling process, including shippers and cargo terminal operators, must also be approved as regulated agents (RA3) by the EU.
Fly Khiva's new certification marks a key development in the carrier's growth, enhancing its ability to engage in international cargo operations and expand its European network.
