Saida Mirziyoyeva, assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, visited Kazakhstan to engage in a series of high-level discussions aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries.
On August 6, Mirziyoyeva met with Aybek Dadebay, head of the administration of the President of Kazakhstan. The meeting focused on evaluating the current situation and exploring prospects in key areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Both parties reviewed the progress of the agreements previously reached by the heads of state, discussing the execution of various tasks aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.
In addition to her meeting with Dadebay, Mirziyoyeva held talks with Kazakhstan's State Counselor, Yerlan Karin, on the same day. The discussions covered a range of issues related to bilateral, regional, and multilateral relations.
A day prior, on August 5, Mirziyoyeva met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The two leaders had an in-depth discussion on regional and international issues, emphasizing the importance of their cooperation in addressing broader geopolitical dynamics.
These meetings come ahead of a state visit by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Kazakhstan. Scheduled for later this week, Mirziyoyev’s visit will include participation in the next consultative meeting of Central Asian leaders in Astana. This summit aims to foster greater regional cooperation and address shared economic, security, and environmental concerns.
