A new logistics center, established by the Euroasia Transportation and Logistics Company, has been inaugurated near the Alat customs post in the Bukhara region, according to a report by UzA.
The project began in 2019 when the local khokimiyat (city administration) allocated a 28-hectare plot of land in the Solakorovul makhalla for its construction. Since then, the site has been transformed into a comprehensive logistics hub designed to facilitate transportation and trade.
The logistics center features a 6,000-square-meter warehouse and a 10-acre parking lot, providing ample space for the storage and movement of goods. In addition to these core facilities, the complex includes a range of amenities to support drivers and staff. A two-story hotel, a cafe, a store, a car service center, and two office buildings with a combined area of 947 square meters have been constructed to offer convenience and services on-site.
The center has the capacity to accommodate up to 900 trucks and additionally, the center has created permanent employment for up to 30 people, contributing to the local economy.
Looking ahead, there are plans to further expand the facilities at the logistics center. An additional parking lot for trucks and a sanitary and quarantine zone are set to be added. A fire pumping station is also in the works to ensure safety and emergency preparedness. In total, 16 facilities are planned for construction on the logistics center's grounds, indicating ongoing investment and development in the region's infrastructure.
