Uzbekistan is set to embark on a project to construct the largest amusement park in Central Asia, AKFA press service reported. Dubbed "Grand Serai," the venture aims to combine world-class entertainment, hospitality, and recreation facilities in a sprawling complex inspired by the historic Great Silk Road.
The park will cover an area of 28 hectares, with a significant portion—20 hectares—dedicated to a seasonal water park. The envisioned complex will not only feature thrill-inducing rides but also encompass a hotel, a shopping gallery, diverse dining options, and a dedicated beach area for leisure activities.
While the project is still in its early phases, with site selection underway, projections indicate that Grand Serai could welcome visitors as early as 2027. The estimated investment in designing and constructing this entertainment destination exceeds a staggering $200mn.
One of the most intriguing aspects of Grand Serai is its thematic inspiration drawn from the Great Silk Road—a historic network of trade routes that connected the East and West centuries ago. The park aims to immerse guests in an experience that celebrates Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage while offering cutting-edge entertainment options.
America’s Legacy Entertainment, renowned for its expertise in creating immersive attractions, has been tapped to develop over 20 unique experiences for Grand Serai. Among the highlights is a nightly acrobatic spectacle enhanced by state-of-the-art 3D mapping technologies, developed in collaboration with experts from Cirque du Soleil.
The architectural design of the park is meticulously crafted to reflect Uzbekistan's history and traditions, ensuring that every aspect of Grand Serai resonates with the country's cultural identity. Visitors can expect a journey through time as they traverse the park, encountering modern thrills intertwined with echoes of the past.
