The Taliban has declared any activity under the name of a political party illegal in Afghanistan, as reported by Hasht-e Subh Daily. This announcement came through the Taliban Ministry of Justice, which issued a corresponding statement, terminating the activities of political parties and removing them from the organization.
The Ministry of Justice of the Taliban regime asserted that the activities of political parties registered under the previous government were terminated, emphasizing that using the name of a party for any activity in Afghanistan is deemed illegal. The ministry warned of legal and Sharia-based action against any violators.
Suspension of Social Organizations
Furthermore, social organizations that were active during the previous government's tenure have had their activities suspended. However, charitable funds and associations are permitted to operate based on official licensing and principles outlined by the Ministry of Justice of the Taliban.
Charitable foundations and other social institutions operating without proper authorization have been cautioned to cease their activities immediately. Abdul Hakim Sharai, the Taliban's Acting Minister of Justice, reiterated that adopting the name of a political party constitutes a crime, emphasizing the absence of room for parties within their regime.
