Authorities from the Montgomery County District Attorney's office and the Lower Moreland Township police have reported an apparent case of murder-suicide in the Huntingdon Valley area of Lower Moreland Township involving two Uzbek individuals, WFMZ reports.
As per the officials, Durdona Sultanova, aged 43, was fatally shot on March 16 by her ex-husband, Al Allaberg, aged 44, at a residence located in the 400 block of Carson Terrace. Subsequently, Allaberg took his own life. The incident was discovered when Lower Moreland Police responded to a 911 call from two young residents of the home, namely Durdona's children, at 4:38 p.m. (local time). Upon arrival, law enforcement found the bodies of Sultanova and Allaberg in a walk-in closet within the master bedroom.
The cause of Sultanova's death, as determined by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, was multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, and it has been classified as a homicide. Allaberg's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head, and his death has been ruled a suicide.
Sultanova pursued higher education at the University of World Economics and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan before obtaining a master's degree in Japan and eventually relocating to the United States. Her whereabouts remained unknown for several years, although she was seen on social media.
Both Sultanova and Allaberg hailed from Uzbekistan and were graduates of local universities.
