The Minister of Poverty Alleviation and Employment of Uzbekistan, Behzad Musayev, held a productive meeting with the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, in Riyadh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
Discussions during the meeting focused on advancing collaboration in social issues and expanding the scope of attracting skilled workers from Uzbekistan to various sectors in Saudi Arabia. The ministers also deliberated on creating favorable working conditions for these workers, emphasizing the importance of mutual benefit.
The talks follow the signing of the agreement on cooperation in the field of recruitment of workers on August 17, 2022, in Jeddah. This agreement laid the foundation for closer ties between the two countries in the realm of employment and workforce management.
Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan have a long-standing history of diplomatic relations, with Saudi Arabia being one of the first nations to recognize Uzbekistan's independence. The bilateral relations have evolved, marked by mutual respect, cooperation, and close coordination on various issues.
