Uzenenergoinspection states that approximately 5% of fuel sold at private gas stations did not meet quality requirements. For 9 months, 225 cases involving the sale of substandard gasoline and diesel were identified and halted.
The press service of Uzenenergoinspection reported that most of these violations occurred in four regions: Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, and Samarkand. As part of their inspections, inspectors successfully prevented the sale of 9.15 mn litres of low-quality fuel, which accounted for roughly 5.1% of the total volume tested, amounting to 179.04 mn litres.
Previously responsible for overseeing the sale of gasoline and diesel, Uzneftegazinspektsiya had suspended shipments to nearly 300 gas stations in November and December of the previous year due to violations. In January, another 109 gas stations faced suspension. However, since July of this year, Uzneftegazinspektsiya merged with the Electricity Control Inspectorate to form the unified Uzenenergoinspection.
On August 21, Askar Isakov, Deputy Head of Uzneftegazinspekts, assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Uztransgaz. These developments reflect ongoing efforts to ensure the quality and compliance of petroleum products sold at gas stations, safeguarding the interests of consumers across the country.
