At 6:54 a.m. local time on September 11, an earthquake occurred in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan.
According to the Republic Center of Seismic Forecasting Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.5 with a depth of 5 km.
Its epicenter was located in Fergana city at 40.23 degrees north latitude and 71.77 degrees east longitude.
The quake was felt with a force of 4 points in the Fergana area, which was located 17 km away from the epicenter, 2-3 points in the Andijan region, which was 78 km away, and 2 points in the Namangan region, which was 86 km away.
Uzbekistan's capital, Tashkent, located 244 km away in the southeast, also experienced the effects of the earthquake.
Recent reports indicate that the death toll from the Morocco earthquake has risen to 2,122, with 2,421 injuries reported on Sunday.
