On September 2, a 46-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan passed away in Istanbul, as confirmed by the Uzbekistan General Consulate in Türkiye.
According to reports, a man from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, was seriously injured in a shoot-out between two criminal groups, and despite medical treatment, he passed away.
The victim was working near the scene of the incident.
Law enforcement officers have detained the individuals who committed the crime and are conducting a preliminary investigation.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul promptly provided practical assistance to the deceased citizen's relatives to repatriate his body to the Samarkand region.
