President Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed foreign ambassadors attending a ceremony in honor of Uzbekistan's 32nd independence anniversary. In his speech, he acknowledged the unprecedented challenges affecting different spheres of life worldwide in the past five to six years.
Pandemics, natural disasters, armed conflicts, global warming, and droughts have put our resilience to the test. It is like a strong hurricane that can damage even the mightiest trees, causing leaves to fall, branches to break, and fruits and swollen kidneys to scatter. However, trees with solid and deep roots can withstand such trials. They bond even more strongly to the ground, and new sprouts, buds, and fruits emerge on their branches. This is the law of life.
Our people have a rich and robust heritage that encompasses our history, values, traditions, customs, and national identity. These deep-seated roots embody the noble concept of national unity that binds our country together. As for our objectives, we will concentrate on enhancing the capabilities of our Armed Forces, who are the dependable protectors of our country's independence, the peaceful existence of our citizens, and the provision of improved facilities for our servicemen and their loved ones.
We will raise the level of relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with the States of the near and far abroad, especially with neighboring countries and international and regional organizations. We must recognize the efforts of our diplomats and those of other countries. I take this opportunity to sincerely welcome the distinguished ambassadors of foreign States and representatives of international organizations participating in today's celebration. I wish peace and prosperity to their countries and peoples',
the President said.
