The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, acknowledged the effective execution of the Declaration on Allied Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, signed during Emomali Rahmon's visit to Kazakhstan in May, media reports.

As per the statement made by President Tokayev, the trade turnover for the initial six months of the current year has surpassed the $500mn mark.
The objective in sight is to augment the mutual trade to $2bn in the forthcoming period.
It was emphasized that Kazakhstan greatly values its friendly relations with Tajikistan.
There is a great fondness for the Tajik people among the people of Kazakhstan. They want to learn more about modern Tajikistan and understand the rich culture of the Tajik people. Your timely initiative to organize large-scale events has been well received by residents and visitors of Kazakhstan. It is significant that this landmark event is taking place during the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries,
Tokayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan acknowledged the progressive growth of bilateral relations in all areas, particularly in the water and energy complex.

The meeting discussed prospects for further cooperation in trade and economics, transport and logistics, agricultural, energy, financial, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
