Scientists from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are collaborating to produce medicines, precisely drugs for preventing dangerous infections, as reported by "Khabar 24". Delegations from both countries met in Astana to discuss the project's details.
They also discussed cooperation in medicine, nuclear energy, and the aerospace industry.
Scientists plan to sign a food security memorandum at a regional conference in Dushanbe this autumn.
Aralbek Rsaliyev, Deputy General Director of the National Holding "QazBioPharm," stated that joint research on Tajikistan's flora could lead to developing new medicines. Besides, training and research on biosafety could improve the epidemiological situation in both countries.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health has announced that the first-ever Central Asian Cancer Week conference will take place in Astana from September 6-8. The event will provide the opportunity for leading specialists from Central Asia and nearby and faraway countries to exchange experiences on current surgical issues.
