A delegation hailing from the Bank of Korea and Korea's Dongguk University recently visited Uzbekistan's Central Bank as part of its annual Knowledge Partnership Program.
Following the meeting, the two central banks entered into an agreement to undertake a joint study, with a specific focus on the supervision of payment systems.
The study will involve participation from professors at Dongguk University, and its findings will be implemented by the Central Bank.
Besides, a joint seminar was held during the visit to discuss the current state and future development of payment systems in the two countries.
The Bank of Korea serves as the central bank and currency issuer for the Republic of Korea. Its establishment in Seoul, South Korea dates back to June 12, 1950. The bank's main focus is on maintaining price stability, which is achieved by targeting inflation.
