SpaceX, under Elon Musk's leadership, successfully launched the Falcon Heavy rocket, which placed the American telecommunication satellite Jupiter 3 into a geostationary orbit. The company announced this achievement on Twitter on Saturday, July 29.
"Confirmed that the Jupiter-3 satellite has entered space."
The LC-39A Florida launch complex was used to launch the rocket on Saturday at 08:04 Tashkent time. Weighing 9.2 tons, the communication satellite is the heaviest of its kind in the world.
The spacecraft is designed to provide high-speed internet connectivity, capable of delivering speeds of up to 500 gigabits per second in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America. The satellite is valued at $445 mn.
After separating from the carrier, the two side boosters of the Falcon Heavy successfully landed at the spaceport in Florida.
