Hollywood actor Tom Cruise continues to astound his fans with his bravery. Tom Cruise is considered one of those actors who perform dangerous stunts themselves. He jumps from helicopters, off mountain ramps on motorcycles, and even performs numerous stunts without the help of stunt doubles. Cruise's next goal is to go to space to shoot his new film.
However, the actor was late to be the first in this regard. Russian actors who are currently involved in filming the movie "Kolokol" have conquered space. Cruise may have also been inspired by the work of his colleagues and decided to replicate their experience.
The new project is in the planning stage. Its title and shooting date have not been announced yet. The only thing revealed is the name of the project's director - Doug Liman will be in charge of the filming. This was announced by representatives of the Universal film company.
"It's a plan. Tom and I are developing a fantastic project: delivering a rocket to the space station and shooting a film there," said one of the company's representatives.
The first rumors about a film to be shot in space surfaced last autumn. It's not surprising since preparing for such a risky endeavor takes a lot of time. Non-professional astronauts will need several years to undergo all the ground tests and ensure they are ready for weightlessness.
"We are actively working on it, let's see what happens," said Tom, confirming that the film will be made.
Tom Cruise has been preparing for the stunts in this film for a long time. For example, the actor trained for over a year to perform a dangerous stunt involving a motorcycle jump in the project "Mission: Impossible."
"We've never had a more dangerous scene. We want to shoot the stunt in Norway. It will be a cliff jump on a motorcycle," the actor said in a 2020 interview.
