On July 12, representatives of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Malaysia participated in the Malaysian International Food and Beverages 2023 (MIFB 2023) exhibition.
Since 2001, Malaysia has been hosting Southeast Asia's largest food industry exhibition. This event features food products and modern devices and attracts over 1,000 companies from over 50 countries annually.
During the event, the Malaysian side was briefed on the measures taken to develop the food industry in Uzbekistan, including strategies and models for developing the food industry based on the effective use of existing natural resources.
The resource and economic potential of the regions, enhancing the competitiveness of local food products and their diversification, were also under discussion.
Detailed information was provided on the wide implementation of international standards in the food industry and on investment.
The Malaysian side welcomed and invited representatives of Uzbekistan to participate with their products in the upcoming year 2024 at the Malaysian International Exhibition of Food and Beverages 2023.
Companies comprising Eco Bee Biotech Sdn Bhd, Panmatex Trading Sdn Bhd, and Allied Chemists Laboratory Sdn Bhd expressed interest in considering the possibilities of their activities in Uzbekistan.
