An incident unfolded in Tel Aviv on July 4, as at least eight Israelis were wounded in a combination of a car-ramming and stabbing attack on Pinchas Rosen Street, reports The Jerusalem Post. The assailant, who was captured on social media footage, was killed at the scene after running over pedestrians and subsequently stabbing one of the victims in the neck. Another civilian present at the scene managed to shoot the attacker.
MDA paramedics swiftly arrived at the location to provide immediate medical assistance to the wounded, who were then transported to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. The severity of the injuries varied, with multiple victims reported to be in serious condition.
At Beilinson Hospital, three individuals aged 30, 66, and 76 were admitted for treatment of multiple injuries sustained during the attack. One of the patients, in critical condition, underwent surgery for stomach and shoulder injuries, while another in critical condition underwent chest surgery. The third individual, moderately injured, received treatment for facial injuries but did not require surgery.
At Ichilov's trauma centre, five injured individuals arrived, with three in moderate to severe condition, one in mild to moderate condition, and one suffering from shock. Their injuries were consistent with those caused by a vehicular attack. Among the patients in critical condition, one required extensive intervention due to multiple injuries across different systems and is scheduled for surgery at Ichilov Hospital.
