Uzbekistan has received a new batch of anti-hepatitis drugs from Egypt, media reports.
The Research Institute of Virology has taken delivery of over 7,700 packages of Daclatasvir and Sofosbuvir drugs, which will provide much-needed relief to patients grappling with hepatitis C.
The shipment, valued at $62,000, arrived at Tashkent International Airport following an earlier delivery of more than 17,000 packages of Daclatasvir worth $35,000. Notably, Uzbekistan is expected to receive 800,000 packages of anti-hepatitis drugs worth $4.8mn by the end of next year.
