The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on March 1 will exhibit photos themed ‘Uzbekistan: The Centre of Islamic Civilization,’ Dunyo reports referring to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Reportedly, the fair will showcase recent photographs and information on the history of Islam, artifacts, and masterpieces of the ancient and rich cultural heritage that have developed on the territory of modern Uzbekistan over the past two thousand years.
Besides, the exhibition will focus on religion’s contribution to science, education, and architecture from the beginning of its spread in Central Asia to the present day. Most paintings reflect Islam's commonality and the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, Nasaf, and Termez.
In particular, the exhibition aims to encourage the study of the rich and distinctive Islamic heritage of the people of Uzbekistan.
