Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China surged by 20% in 2022, reaching nearly $9bn, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojayev said at China+Central Asia Industry and Investment Cooperation Forum, addressing its participants via video message. Besides, Jamshid Khojayev stressed that over 2,100 enterprises are operating in the Central Asian republic with the participation of Chinese capital, media reports.
Deputy Prime Ministers of the other four Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, also gave speeches via video link at the forum. In addition, nearly 300 representatives from the embassies of five Central Asian countries in China and enterprises attended the conference jointly organized by the NDRC and the provincial government of Shandong.
