Greenhouse farms and cement, brick, and lime manufacturers won't be allowed to connect to natural gas networks starting from May 1, 2023, the presidential decree 'On measures to accelerate the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies in 2023' reads.
In addition, by the end of this year, 1,147 greenhouses and 250 construction materials factories should be converted to coal fuel. The city mayors, Aziz Voitov, Minister of Agriculture, and Sherzod Khidoyatov, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities, will be personally responsible for these activities.
The Government Commission for Foreign Trade, Investments, Development of Local Industry, and Technical Regulation was instructed, together with commercial banks, to ensure the timely allocation of credit funds for purchasing equipment for enterprises converted to coal fuel.
