Saidnosir Usmanov, the head of the information service of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy of Uzbekistan said that permission would be given only to those buildings that fully meet all construction standards and requirements at a briefing held on February 9.
Usmanov provided information about the requirements established by the law which made people worried after the earthquake in Turkey over the quality of construction in Uzbekistan, and the level of earthquake resistance of buildings and structures.
"A strong legal framework created in Uzbekistan ensures the safety of people in the construction facilities. In particular, to prepare the project of a certain object, architectural planning tasks are first developed, and then the project proposal is considered by the architectural council," the head of the information service of the ministry said.
According to the official, the republic is divided into the seismic score zones needed when placing objects in the regions in the master plans.
Based on the results of this research, project solutions are selected for the placement of the object, its number of floors, foundation, constructions and overall parameters. After these processes, project documents for objects are developed.
In doing so, city planning norms and rules aimed at ensuring seismic safety and strength are strictly followed.
The objects of complexity level 4 are additionally subjected to seismic expertise by the Institute of Seismology under the Academy of Sciences. After receiving positive ex-expert conclusions that the issues of seismic safety and strength are fully considered in the project of the object, the construction work will be allowed to start," Saidnosir Usmanov said.
4 different types that are internal control of the contracting organization, author control of the project organization, technical control of the customer organization and state control of the Inspection are carried out during the construction of the objects.
"We would like to emphasize that today, quality and control are considered the primary issues in construction work, and these works will be strictly continued," the head of the information service of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy said.
