President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the need to reform Uzbekistan Airways during the meeting in the Uchtepa district, Tashkent. "Daryo" correspondent reports about this.
"For many years, we have not been able to use effectively our airlines. Now it's time to reform Uzbekistan Airways. The company should be free, open and competitive," the president said.
Mirziyoyev said that today there are about 30 aircraft in the company's fleet.
"It is necessary to increase the number of planes, improve the quality of services, and reduce prices. It is also essential to be competitive in the international arena making the flight cheap and safe," Shavkat Mirziyoyev underlined.
